Frequently asked questions
Will every PDF become smaller?+
There is no guarantee. Already optimized files may have no room for further reduction. The tool shows the actual size and keeps the original when there is no benefit.
Does compression turn text into images?+
The tool does not deliberately rasterize whole pages. It preserves text and vectors while optimizing supported embedded images.
Which images may remain unchanged?+
Images with transparency masks, special color spaces, or formats the engine cannot safely process are skipped. The results include an explanation.
